W. LEE TERRELL, MD
W. Lee Terrell, MD graduated from Tulane Medical School and completed his ophthalmology training at LSU Medical School. He is a board certified Ophthalmologist and has been in private practice since 1980 treating patients with medical and surgical eye problems including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes and myopia.
KENNETH HAIK, MD
Kenneth Haik, MD, a New Orleans native, attended Tulane University and received his medical degree from Tulane University Medical School in 1975. He attended Charity Hospital affiliated with Louisiana State University from 1975- 1978. He then completed two fellowships at Harvard University and Peter Brent Brigham Hospital. Additionally, he completed a Glaucoma Fellowship with R.J. Simmons & Associates in Boston, Massachusetts. He is Board certified in Ophthalmology and specializes in glaucoma and cataracts. He has been in private practice since 1978 helping patients in restoring their sight by surgery or improving with the help of glasses or contact lenses.
JOSHUA GROETSCH, MD
Joshua Groetsch, MD, a board-certified ophthalmologist, has been a lifelong resident of the Greater New Orleans area. He attended Loyola University in New Orleans graduating Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Psychology in 1996. He subsequently received his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2001. Following an internal medicine internship with the Alton Ochsner Foundation, he completed his residency training in ophthalmology with the LSU / Ochsner program in 2006, where he served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Groetsch entered private practice in 2006 and remains dedicated to providing the highest quality eye care to the community. Additionally, he continues to provide training to future ophthalmologists with the LSU ophthalmology residency training program, where he has served as an associate clinical and surgical professor for the past 13 years. His areas of focus include anterior segment, cataract, glaucoma, and refractive surgery.
Dr. Groetsch continues to reside in the area with his wife and four children. His outside interests include spending time with family and friends, running, hiking, and photography.
NICK FRISARD, MD
Dr. Nick Frisard, MD is a board-certified Ophthalmologist who is a native of Metairie, Louisiana and a proud graduate of Jesuit High School. Dr. Frisard earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from LSU and completed his surgical training at the LSU/Ochsner residency program where he served as chief resident. Additionally, at the conclusion of his training, Dr. Frisard was selected from a group of his peers as the outstanding graduate who embodies the most desired characteristics of an Ophthalmologist and demonstrates excellence in clinical and surgical skills.
Dr. Frisard specializes in cataract and laser vision correction surgery. He has extensive training in astigmatism management and presbyopia correcting lens technology and is proud to offer the latest advancements in the field of cataract surgery. Utilizing advanced laser and artificial lens technology, Dr. Frisard is able to offer his patients a life without dependence on glasses or contacts. In addition, Dr. Frisard performs micro stent surgery for glaucoma patients using the iStent, the smallest medical device ever approved by the FDA and the smallest medical device known to be implanted in the human body.
Dr. Frisard strives to provide superior care that is both comprehensive and personalized. Patient education and involving those he treats in their own health care decisions is extremely important to him.
